Pour la petite histoire : 
La verrerie Bayel est fondée en 1666 par un maître verrier vénitien Jean-Baptiste Mazzolay qui à le privilège d’obtenir l’autorisation royale de Louis XVI de fournir la cour et devient ainsi la Cristallerie Royale de Champagne Bayel . 
Au XIX la manufacture s’oriente vers le cristal au plomb  suite à la reprise par la famille Marquot en 1854 .
Au XXème siècle la manufacture connaît ces années de gloire employant plus de 600 personnes et travaillant pour des maisons prestigieuses.
Entre autres l’Élysée , la Maison Blanche , Le Ritz , L’orient express, La compagnie des wagons lits, Fabergé , Louis Vuitton , Hermès…etc 
La manufacture à fermé ses portes en 2016 après 350 ans d’histoire mais un musée créé en 1994 vous permet de découvrir toute l’histoire de cette manufacture.

For the record:
The Bayel glassworks was founded in 1666 by a Venetian master glassmaker Jean-Baptiste Mazzolay who had the privilege of obtaining the royal authorization of Louis XVI to provide the court and thus became the Royal Crystallery of Champagne Bayel.
In the 19th century, the factory moved towards lead crystal following the takeover by the Marquot family in 1854.
In the 20th century the factory experienced these years of glory employing more than 600 people and working for prestigious houses.
Among others the Elysée, the White House, the Ritz, the Orient Express, The company of sleeping wagons, Fabergé, Louis Vuitton, Hermès...etc
The factory closed its doors in 2016 after 350 years of history but a museum created in 1994 allows you to discover the entire history of this factory.
